Scott Silver formed a strategic alliance with attorney David Chase, a former SEC prosecutor, to represent SEC whistleblowers. This partnership combines their individual experience with SEC cases to offer whistleblowers strong legal representation and chance to maximize a whistleblower award. Both frequently speak on the subject at law schools, conferences, on podcasts, and other venues, and contribute thought provoking articles about the SEC whistleblower program to related publications. As chairman of the securities and financial fraud group of the American Association of Justice, Scott has spoken at many industry conferences about best practices in this unique practice area.
In addition to representing SEC whistleblowers, Scott represents investors in claims to recover investment losses caused by fraud and stockbroker misconduct. He has worked in the securities industry since graduating from the University of Miami’s School of Law in 1996. His bar admissions include both Florida and New York and multiple federal courts, including the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of Florida, Eastern District of New York, and Southern District of New York.
Scott Silver also represents investors in arbitration before FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), AAA (American Arbitration Association), and NFA (National Futures Association). Scott’s eponymous law firm, Silver Law Group, routinely handles class action litigation against third party professionals for aiding and abetting ponzi schemes. In many cases, Scott serves as counsel to receivers involved in Ponzi scheme investor loss recovery.
Scott has offices in South Florida and New York City and represents investors throughout the United States. In many circumstances, other attorneys seek out Scott’s expertise to assist on securities and investment fraud cases.
In 2022, Mr. Silver was also awarded the designation of an America’s 100 High Stakes Litigator for Southern Florida. This designation indicates that someone has litigated a case worth more than $2 million. America’s Top 100 recognizes 100 attorneys in each state who do outstanding work in their chosen field of law and highlights their accomplishments.
In addition, Scott is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Club. He has also received a Preeminent AV rating from Martindale-Hubbel, the highest rating awarded for both legal ability and ethical standards and served as the co-chair of the Securities and Financial Fraud Group of the American Association of Justice (AAJ).
Scott is a member of the Entrepreneur’s Association (EO), lectures on Ponzi scheme loss recovery from third-party professionals and other related subjects, and is involved with the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA), a volunteer bar association for attorneys involved in securities arbitration.
